INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY OVERVIEW

Inland Imaging’s Interventional Radiologists specialize in providing minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease, cancer, aneurysms, uterine fibroids and many other medical conditions that once could only be treated with conventional surgery.

Treatments with Interventional Radiology involve the use of imaging technology to perform medical procedures inside the body. These procedures minimize risk, offer faster recovery times and are generally more cost-effective than surgical alternatives.

Interventional procedures are often performed to place small medical devices inside the body that are used to deliver targeted treatment or therapy. For instance, a tiny catheter can be placed at a tumor site to send chemotherapy drugs directly to the cancer cells. Sedation medications are given intravenously using AccuVein vein finder technology to provide the patient a quick and comfortable experience.

Our Interventional Radiologists are board-certified physicians with special training in image-guided medical procedures. Depending on your condition, your procedure may be guided with Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Computed Tomography (CT).
