Interventional radiology at Inland Imaging is an evolving and
ever-growing subspecialty in which both vascular and nonvascular
diseases are treated by minimally invasive procedures using small
catheters and catheter-based instruments. Interventional radiologists
are able to treat specific conditions without the need for large
surgical incisions or general anesthesia.
Each procedure is
performed with local and intravenous sedation, using image-guidance
technology and techniques. These include x-rays, fluoroscopy,
ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography
(CT).
Each Inland Imaging interventional radiologist is specially
trained in medical imaging as well as percutaneous image-guidance
procedures. Our skilled interventional radiologists are able to
integrate interventional procedures into a patient’s overall health
management regimen.
Interventional radiology procedures are a
cost-effective health care alternative to more conventional medical and
surgical treatments. The procedures generally require less
hospitalization time and present fewer risks to the patient. In many
cases, interventional procedures are the recommended therapeutic option
for critically ill patients unable to tolerate a surgical procedure.
Each
interventional procedure is done in a clean and safe hospital
environment at either Sacred Heart Medical Center or Holy Family
Medical Center. Inland Imaging offers a variety of Interventional
