Inland Imaging has created a campaign, called EVERY WOMAN CAN to encourage women to receive an annual screening mammogram.
Inland Imaging found that nearly half of all Spokane women are not having an annual screening mammogram. The numbers are below the national average and are startling, considering the proven importance of identifying and diagnosing breast cancer early.
Data shows that there are several barriers that are keeping a woman from having a mammogram. Inland Imaging is taking measures to break down these barriers to be sure that every woman can have a mammogram in Spokane.
The results show the number one reason women do not have an annual screening mammogram is lack of time, followed by limited funds, not being insured, lack of physician reminders, fear of the results, and pain of procedure.

Resources
Most major insurances will cover a screening mammogram. However, not every one is fortunate enough to have coverage. There are several national and local resources available to women who may need financial help in order to have a annual screening mammogram.
