In partnership with the Inland Vascular Institute, Inland Imaging offers laser treatment options for vascular problems such as varicose veins.
The laser treatment procedure uses targeted laser energy to close the vein shut, removing the sight of varicose veins and relieving heaviness or pain in the legs.
The minimally invasive laser procedure leaves no scarring and eliminates the bulging varicose veins at the source. After the treatment, the blood flow is diverted to the many other veins in the leg.
The procedure takes about 45 minutes with local anesthetic and is done on an outpatient procedure basis. There is minimal postoperative pain and a quick recovery with immediate relief from symptoms is expected. We encourage the patient to walk immediately after the procedure. Some minor soreness and bruising can be treated with over-the-counter medication as needed.
