Inland Imaging to Offer Services to Walla Walla General Hospital

Back to News
Inland Imaging will begin offering diagnostic radiology interpretation services and image distribution services to Walla Walla General Hospital starting January 18th, 2010. Walla Walla area physicians and patients will receive high quality, subspecialty radiology interpretations of their diagnostic imaging exams. They will also gain access to Inland Imaging’s image distribution network that allows patient information and images to be shared via secure, high speed networks throughout the Western United States.

Walla Walla area physicians and patients will see an increase in the quality of exam interpretations and superior service with faster delivery of their diagnostic results. Inland Imaging is one of only a few radiology groups in the state of Washington to offer subspecialty reads for medical imaging exams, resulting in a higher level of expertise and care for the patient.

Dr. Brian Rich has joined Inland Imaging as their onsite radiologist to oversee and monitor all exam interpretations to ensure they are efficiently delivered and meet Inland Imaging’s high quality standards. Dr. Rich lives in Walla Walla and will be connected to his colleagues in Spokane, Seattle, and Phoenix through the Inland Imaging distribution network.

In addition, Inland Imaging will offer real time reading of studies performed after-hours, utilizing one of their subspecialty trained Emergency Radiologists located in Spokane, Washington. Sarah Russell, Inland Imaging’s Director of Operations says, “Walla Walla General Hospital’s partnership with Inland Imaging will provide for a strong onsite physician presence paired with the support of subspecialty readers and local after-hours coverage, resulting in consistency in coverage and a high level of quality of service not always available in smaller communities.”

Inland Imaging will also provide hospital physicians with access to its Imaging Suite®, with the integrated PhilipsiSite® image viewer, an on-demand web-based PACS image viewing application. Access to the Inland Imaging distribution network should greatly improve care to area patients and open a gateway for collaboration with the Walla Walla regional medical community.

Inland Imaging has similar radiology service contracts with Pullman Memorial Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and Sacred Heart Medical Center. Inland Imaging also archives over 1.4 million medical images for medical centers, hospitals, and multi-specialty clinics each year.
